Evelyn Meserve has fourteen years experience in the security field.  She is currently the Director of Security, Safety and Parking at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Massachusetts. Prior to being at Newton Wellesley, Evelyn was Security Director at HealthAlliance in Leominster, MA and Security/Telecommunications Manager at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME.

Evelyn has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, with an emphasis on Accounting and Business Management. She is a Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) and a Certified Environmental Compliance Manager (CECM).  Evelyn is a certified instructor in: Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB^®), OCAT^® (pepper spray) and PATH™ (handcuffing).

Evelyn is currently the International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Region 1 Chairperson and has held that role for several years.  She also is the chairperson of the IAHSS Education and Training Committee. Evelyn played an active role in the editing of the recent Advanced Training manual, Supervisory manual as well as the Basic Training manual.  She is the Vice President of the Boston Chapter and has held many other positions in the Maine and Boston Chapters.  Evelyn won the IAHSS Elwood Near Presidential Award in 1996.
